Carry-on baggage allowance

Carry-on baggage is included in your Air New Zealand ticket, if it meets the following size and weight limits.

Our carry-on allowance is based on the total of a bag's length, width and height. This total can be 46.5" (118cm) and cannot weigh more than 15lbs (7kg).

Learn more彩福彩票 about what you can and cannot pack in your carry-on bag.

Checked in baggage allowance

For travel originating in the United States (US) or for travel to the US which is not en route to another country
彩福彩票If your ticketed journey starts or ends in the US, and you have several check-in points, your baggage allowance will remain the same for your entire journey, regardless of airlines involved in your itinerary. The allowance shown on your first ticket determined by the airline applies for the rest of your trip.

This means that even though you have an Air New Zealand ticket with at least one Air New Zealand flight the baggage allowances and charges that apply could be another carrier's. Please refer to your ticket which shows your checked baggage allowance and which carrier's rules apply.

If your trip has more than one ticket, you may have a different baggage allowance and rules for each flight. Please check these and pack accordingly.

For all other long haul international travel including travel to the US en route to another country

彩福彩票Baggage allowances and charges may differ between different carriers and throughout your journey. These depend on whether your travel is entirely on Air New Zealand flights or with a mix of carriers.

The following checked in baggage allowances apply per person, per flight when Air New Zealand's baggage rules apply.

彩福彩票Maximum weight for each piece of baggage is 50lbs (23kg) and total linear dimensions (length+width+height) should not exceed 62"(158cm).
